Monday - in black and white

We spent our first beach day at Mauna Kea Beach Resort. The resort is private but they have allow a limited number of public access. We drove up first and were turned away by the security guard. On our way out (we had to turn around), the security guard said that a spot had just opened up! We were so thankful and excited! We set up our beach site (umbrella, chairs, blankets, cooler...quite the spread!). My parents and Rodney immediately went in the water to snorkel, so the girls and I stayed on the beach to grow accustomed to the sand. Both of the girls were very unsure of the experience, as you can tell from the pictures. But they soon began to thoroughly enjoy themselves!
