For the first time last week, I began to feel the true heat of summer set in, so we didn't go to our neighborhood park this week. Instead, we frequented our apartment pool and enjoyed the comforts of air conditioning. My sweet daughter had a bit of an off week, and now she has two more molars. As a result, our current challenges have been even more challenging...
Our current challenges are first time obedience and a cheerful, sweet attitude (aka -- not whining). We have lots of room for growth in these areas:) And I do mean "we". I often respond much too slow to the Lord's daily promptings in my life, not to mention the complaining spirit that can creep in so quickly when I'm tired, not feeling well or just plain hot.
I am so thankful that I can bring my daughter before the Lord throughout the day and rely on Him for the strength I need to love my daughter and remain consistent and patient. Praise the Lord that His mercies are new every morning! Great is His faithfulness!
