an egg hunt!
I cannot say enough how glad we are to be back in the Midwest, closer to family. My in-laws spent the weekend before Easter with us, and time spent with family is always a blessing. It was good to see them and special that they were able the create memories with the girls.
The girls enjoyed an egg hunt on Saturday and we spent a good portion of the day outside, preparing the garden for planting and enjoying the warm weather.
5+1 = 6
We're having another baby!
I can hardly believe it myself, and I've had about a little bit more than 12 weeks to get used to the idea. Baby #4 is due in early October, which makes me a little more than 16 weeks pregnant.
In the pictures below, the girls were preoccupied by the bright sun, the grass and the candy in their Easter baskets. Can you tell? :)
Our littlest one is going to have three big sisters/mommies.
Almost as early as I can remember, I dreamed of having four little ones, and the Lord has planned the perfect timing of each one. We are excited and thankful as we prepare to meet our little one this Fall.

Rejoicing in song
My girls sang for the end of year Community Bible Study program today. Both girls danced and sang along. CBS has been a great blessing for our family this year. I've enjoyed studying Romans and my girls have learned many verses and stories this year about the Savior.

Bonding with Daddy
A couple of weeks ago, I was sick with the stomach flu and quarantined myself in my room and bathroom for two days. Tabitha and Daddy bonded since I literally did not see her! And Rodney was a super daddy while I was ill, even taking the girls out to Chick fil a all by himself, a first time having all three out and about by himself.

a tumble at ten months
About a month ago, Tabitha took her first real tumble, causing me much anxiety as my bathroom suddenly became triage. Like most accidents with little ones, it occurred only about two feet from me while I was helping Hannah in the bathroom and while my eldest was supporting Tabitha (who was standing). I'm still not quite sure how it happened but somehow Miss T careened into the corner of the bathroom step stool. As you can see from the pictures, the cut just missed her eye, which was hard to determine when the cut was covered in blood and tears. We are very thankful for God's protection and grace that kept us out of the Emergency Room!
I took these pictures the next day after the immediate pain was gone. She was in much better spirits on day two than on day one!
And since I was lax last month about taking her ten month photos, these will have to do. Sorry, sweet girl, that's what happens when you're number three!

...the very typical super cheesy smile...
...and she still has just six teeth...which is still more than her sisters had at ten months!
silly saturday faces
Our weeks are very busy. I think we have something scheduled every night of the week. So we do our best to keep our weekends open and quiet. Most Saturday mornings are spent eating pancakes or waffles, spending quality time with daddy in our pajamas and tackling the catch-up tasks that all families have around the house.
Here Rodney is coloring with his girls on a relaxed Saturday morning. Hannah decided she needed to make faces at me while I snapped a couple pictures. Silly girl.
